A Zimbabwean teacher from Lupane was on Friday, February 17, 2017, kidnapped, drugged and gang-raped by four women, suspected to be 'Sperm harvesters.' The victim whose man name was withheld reportedly woke up naked in the bush, feeling extremely weak on Saturday morning. The  man who already has filed a complaint at Lupane police station, said he was sexually abused for hours by a group of four light skinned women who gave him a lift on Friday night. South Africa's finance Minister, Parvin Gordhan has revealed in a new proposal that alcohol and tobacco excise duty rates will get an increase this year. While presenting the proposal at the National Assembly Wednesday, February 22, 2017, he said: The National Treasury proposes increases in the excise duties for alcohol and tobacco of between 6 and 10 percent.' If the new proposal is finally approved, an excise duty of 149.6 cents will be charged on every 340ml can of malt beer. Likewise, an excise duty of R3.61 per litre will be charged on unfortified wines. That represents an increase of 8.8 percent on the current charge of R3.31 per litre.  Similarly, a new rate of R6.17 per litre for fortified wines was proposed. The rate has a 6.1 percent increase as the current charge is R5.82 per litre. The excise duty for sparkling wine will go up by 8.8 percent from R10.53 to R11.46 per litre, while spirit products will also get an increase of 8.5 percent. It would r...

A dog brutalized a 5 year old girl at the Ikorodu area of Lagos state yesterday February 20th. According to Facebook user, Taiwo Craig who shared the story, the little girl lives in a compound where the Landlord has 15 dogs, all unkempt and not well fed. Yesterday at about 5.10pm, one of the dogs broke out from the cage and attacked the little girl, leaving her with serious injuries. She is currently receiving medical attention at a hospital. 43-year-old Adebisi Akinrinmola pictured above, has been arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for allegedly killing his friend, 36 year old Ademola Asimiyu, over a lady they were both interested in. According to police report, the incident occurred on Sunday 19 February, 2017 at Ajebo Village in Ijebu-Igbo area of Ogun State. When interrogated by the police, Adebisi said the deceased had accused him of snatching his girlfriend from him and asked him to leave the lady alone. Last Sunday, the deceased accosted him and the said lady on their way to his farm and a heated argument ensued. In the process, the deceased brought out his cutlass to attack him. While speaking with BBC World News, the actress became emotional when she was asked about the divorce, revealing that it's been a difficult time for her family, but she intends for them all to remain a family.
